Air Conditioning Kits

MESA, Ariz. -- Summer's almost here, and while air conditioning is standard equipment in almost all of today's car's, it was a rare-and pricey-option back in the 50s and early 60s. But there's no reason you should sweat it out in your classic Chevy. That's because Impala Bob's offers complete air conditioning kits for some of the most popular classic Chevrolet cars and trucks.

Kits are available for 55-57 150, 210 and Bel Air; 59-60 Biscayne, Bel Air and Impala; 55-72 full-size trucks; 64-65 and 68-72 Chevelle and El Camino. Replacement kits are also available for 65-66 Biscayne, Bel Air, Impala and Caprice, as well as 66-67 Chevelle and El Camino models that came with factory air conditioning. Pricing for all kits is $1,099.99. All can be ordered with 134a or R-12 refrigerant, and they use the original dashboard controls wherever possible; 59-60 full-size passenger car kits are available with two- or four-lever controls. Impala Bob's A/C kits mount to existing holes in the dash and firewall without drilling or fabrication. The complete kit includes an evaporator, condenser and drier package that mounts to existing radiator mounting holes. Also included are the compressor, hose kit, pre-formed aluminum lines, mounting hardware and HI/LO safety switch. The kits can be used on small-block and big-block V-8 and well as inline six-cylinder engines.
